PLEASE NOTE: The FTCC Online Career Training courses are for North Carolina residents only.

Whether you are trying to break into a professional career or running your own business, customer service is an integral skill to have. FTCC, in partnership with 360training.com, is offering a course that addresses the challenges, duties, and required skill sets of modern-day customer-related practices. Learn the basics required to deal with customers in an office environment while also learning the basics of workplace success, grammar, business correspondence, and Microsoft Office suite. Books and materials are included in this course.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY 5:00 P.M. A WEEK BEFORE CLASS START DATE. PLEASE CHECK THE COURSE SCHEDULE FOR REGISTRATION DEADLINES.

REQUIREMENTS:
The student must complete the course curriculum and final exams successfully in order to receive certificates of completion.

*Please Note: This course requires that a student have Microsoft Office 2007 on his or her computer. If you do not have this program on your computer, please make sure that you have it before you start the course.

*Please note that a student must return the books and materials for the FTCC Online Career Training courses if he or she drops the course and requests a refund for the registration fees. Students can mail the books and materials to 360training.com’s corporate office, or he or she can deliver the books to Neill Currie Room 11A on the FTCC main campus.

Refund & Enrollment Policy

 

Refund Policy

The refund policy for Fayetteville Technical Community College's Continuing Education Division was established by the North Carolina Department of Community Colleges, Raleigh on October 15, 1993. The full refund policy is listed in the NC Administrative Code 23NCAC.2D.0203 (d) Brief Statement of Policy:

  1. A pre-registered extension student who officially withdraws from an extension class(es) prior to the first meeting of the class (should be 24 hours prior) will be eligible for a 100 percent refund by completing an official request form.
  2. The refund will be 75 percent if requested prior to the 10 percent date of the class(es) meeting.
  3. No refunds will be given after 10-percent of class meetings.

*Please note that a student must return the books and materials for the FTCC Online Career Training courses if he or she drops the course and requests a refund for the registration fees. Students can mail the books and materials to 360training.com’s corporate office, or he or she can deliver the books to Neill Currie Room 11A on the FTCC main campus.

 


 
Enrollment Policy

Enrollment for a course will end a week prior to the course start date.

For example:
Course Start Date: Monday, September 6th, 2010
Enrollment Deadline: Monday, August 30th, 2010

Reminders

  • A student must successfully complete the course curriculum and pass the final exams to receive a certificate of completion from FTCC.
  • Access codes and passwords for course curriculum will be sent via e-mail to students on the day the course begins.

* To maintain registration in a course, students must log on to the online course web site and complete the course orientation within three days of the course start date. Failure to access the web site and complete the course orientation will result in a student's removal from the course.


 

Computer & Course Materials Requirements

Course materials are included in a student's registration for the FTCC Online Career Training courses.

The first textbook for the course will be mailed out immediately to the student. The second set of course textbooks and materials will be mailed out shortly after 10-percent of class meetings.

Please allow seven to ten business days for course books and/or materials to arrive.

Computer Requirements

Recommended Prerequisites
For any of these programs you should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Since a portion of each program is taken online, you should be familiar with computers and have access to a computer with an Internet connection (If you don’t have one at home, your local public library will often provide this at no cost to you.).

Recommended Equipment and Software

Hardware:

  • IBM PC Compatible Computer (we recommend at least 1 GB RAM, and a processor equivalent to, or newer than, an Intel “Pentium 4” 2.4 GHz Processor)
  • Microsoft Windows XP or Vista operating system
  • Internet connection (we recommend any type of broadband connection)
  • Sound Card with speakers or headphones
  • Monitor connected to a video card with a driver that’s SVGA (1024x768) or higher
